Our next challenge takes us to Steampunk Island’s Brass Bouy Port. Here Bow Ninecandle seems to have gotten himself locked out of the bathroom. If we talk to him we can unlock a hint to a YouTube Video. This video walks us through the process for picking the lock.

For my lock the sticky number was 19. I then continued following the guide in the YouTube video to find my first guess number, 2 and the second guess number 7. With these numbers it was time to move onto the math beginning with finding the first digit.

The first digit was found by taking our sticky number of 19 and adding 5 meaning the first number in our combination is 24. Next we solved for the third number. To do this we started by taking our first number, 24 and dividing it by 4. This left us with 6 and a remainder of 0. We then need to create the below table based on our guess numbers of 2 and 7. Take each number and add 10 to it 3 times to get

With the first and third numbers solved we now need to find the 8 possibilities for the second number. This is done by generating another table. The first row is created by taking the remainder from the previous step + 2 and adding 8 to it 4 times. The second row is created by taking the values from the first row and adding 4 to them. In this case we get the below table

6	14	22	30	38

We can then further refine our 10 possibilities to 8 due to the fact that the second and third number need to be more than 2 away from each other. In this case that eliminates 10 and 14. We then just need to try the remaining 8 combinations until the lock pops open.

Once again, no further info from Bow after completing the challenge and we can simply move onto the next one.
